Hitting Zone Baseball Bible, Inc. is a Florida Non-Profit Corporation and was incorporated in the State of Florida on March 28, 2016.
On July 7, 2016, the IRS determined that under the Internal Revenue Code, Section 501 (C) 3, Hitting Zone Baseball Bible, Inc. was exempt from federal income tax.
On July 15, 2016, the State of Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services certified that Hitting Zone Baseball Bible, Inc. had met the requirements under Chapter 496 Section 406 of the Florida Statutes, the Solicitation of Contributions Act and is allowed to solicit contributions from the public.
Adrian David Kent, III, President; Tampa, FL
Dave Kent is currently President of the Hitting Zone, Inc. of Tampa, a company he established in 1995. The Hitting Zone has been giving baseball and softball instruction in the Tampa Bay Area for over 20 years by Dave and his staff of Instructors. Dave is also President of the Hitting Zone Baseball Bible, a project that has been his passion for a number of years. Dave started his career in 1968 with the New York Yankees, and finished his career in 1973 with the St. Louis Cardinals. Following the year with the Cardinals, Dave played baseball one year in Mexico. In 1973 he returned to Tampa where he was Head Baseball Coach for Jesuit and Chamberlain High Schools. He then moved on to work for PENN tennis equipment and was a ranked Tennis player from 1974 to 1995 but decided to set up the Hitting Zone in 1995. He currently lives with his wife Denise in Riverview, FL.
Frank A. Sola, Vice President; Trinity, FL
Frank Sola has over 40 years’ experience in technology businesses and has been a Director of public companies as well as emerging companies. He currently has an advisory consulting practice and is a Senior Advisor to Kaufman & Company of Boston, MA. Frank lives with his wife, Nancy, in Trinity, FL and are members of Idlewild Baptist Church of Lutz, FL. They have 2 sons, Sean and Scott and 2 daughters, Stephanie and Catherine as well as 8 grandchildren and 1 great granchild.
Denise Kent, Director; Tampa, FL
Denise Kent is Dave Kent’s wife of 15 years. They decided to marry in 2002 and have 4 children, 5 grandchildren and live in Riverview, FL. Denise was born and grew up in the Tampa area and graduated from Brandon High School in Brandon, FL. Denise is a strong Christian, a hair stylist and runs an ecommerce business selling women’s clothing. She provides Dave with the love and support.
Dean A. Kent, Director; Tampa, FL
Dean Kent is a shareholder with Trenam Law of Tampa, FL. He is an AV Rated, trial lawyer with specializations in handling complex business disputes, intellectual property, and eminent domain matters. Dean’s community involvement includes leadership positions with The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Tampa Connection, Keystone Little League, Forest Hills Youth Baseball, and the Tampa Mustangs and he is a graduate of the University of Florida and Jesuit High School in Tampa, FL. He currently resides in Tampa with his wife Olivia and his four children, Tyler, Amelia, Braden, and Avery.
Anthony Telford, Director; Odessa, FL
Anthony Telford is a retired professional baseball player who currently is working as a the pitching instructor at the Hitting Zone in Tampa, Florida. Selected in the third round of the 1987 MLB draft, he played from 1987-2003 pitching in nine different MLB seasons mostly in relief for the Baltimore Orioles, Montreal Expos and Texas Rangers. In 2007 he became the pitching coach for the Aiken Foxhounds of the independent South Coast League. In 2010 the Pittsburg Pirates hired Telford as the Personal Development Coordinator.
In 2014 received his BA in Theology from Life Christian University and is a licenced Minister. He attended San Jose State University, and Silver Creek HS in San Jose California. He currently resides in Odessa Florida. He is a devout Christian and married to his wife of 28 years, Christine, with his three children Brittany, David, and Rebekah.
